Open Door Gallery was born when local small business owners, community members and artists came together with a dream to build a creative community focusing on celebrating and supporting artists within the city.

We are a wandering gallery popping up in the diverse, unique and beautiful neighborhoods of Houston, TX.

    featuring four local artists work and a community built collage, this exhibition aimed to create meaningful artistic remembrances of life in Segundo Barrio, Central Park, Magnolia Park, and beyond.

    this group exhibition presents the work of 26 Texas-based Chicano/a/x artists, showcasing a wide array of mediums and offering a sensory experience that intertwines contemporary art with historical archives.

  • HER VISION 2024

    comprised of 80 female artists, this weekend long exhibition was created to celebrate the women of Houston and their talents.

    created as part of the Houston Latino Film Festival, this show brings together behind the scenes photography, video installations, historic cinematic archives, props, and production artifacts that highlight the collaborative labor behind film.
